Grayer was first seen during the day at a local cleaning station at Honokohau harbour. He was very shy and would retreat when approached with the camera. Keller indicats that he is young as he had very small claspers. He was first seen at the same time as another new small female, Emma. He has subsequently been seen again at the same cleaning station by Joe Weston.
