This manta was first seen by Dionne Miller while snorkeling in Kona in August 2007. She is quite distinct with a small "kink" in her tail. When initially sighted, we could not determine whether it was a male or female manta, but thanks to Martina's sighting 2.5 years later, we know she is a female. Martina indicated that she was very shy and got spooked when approached. |
